Measles symptoms koplik spots

Symptoms include prodromal fever that can rise as high as 105°F (4°C), conjunctivitis, coryza (runny nose), cough, and small spots with white or bluish-white centers on an erythematous base on the buccal mucosa ( Koplik spots ). These symptoms will start to emerge about a week and a half after a person has come in contact with the measles virus. The first symptoms to appear will mimic the flu, with a cough, runny nose, and possible fever.


Two or three days after symptoms begin, tiny white spots ( Koplik spots ) may appear inside the mouth.
