Dav veterans assistance

All services provided by DAV NSOs are free of charge. Military members separating from active duty should talk to a Transition. Additional Information. The PenFed Foundation works with Veterans Plus to help us provide financial counseling for our veterans.


Once the application is submitted by a DAV -National Service Officer, PenFed will refer the veteran to Veterans Plus.

DAV ’s Voluntary Service Programs provided an additional 747hours of service to veterans in VA hospitals, nursing homes and clinics last year. An additional 161hours were contributed through DAV ’s Local Veterans Assistance Program (LVAP) to veterans in non-VA medical facilities. DAV ’s employment program connects transitioning active duty, Guard and Reserve members, veterans and their spouses with employers.

The West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance is a cabinet-level agency dedicated to providing services and benefits assistance to veterans and their qualifying family members. The department’s work brings in $Billion of federal benefits per year to West Virginia Veterans , a number that has been increasing year-over-year.


To help us do that, the Disabled American Veterans has launched the Local Veterans Assistance Program or LVAP. Through LVAP we can track and report the hours you log every month making your own unique contributions to assist Minnesota’s disabled veterans , whatever they may be. DAV is the only veterans ’ service organization to that has a training program certified for college credit in legal research and writing, administrative law, litigation, introduction to para-legalism, pathophysiology and human anatomy by the American Council on Education.


Every National Service Officer is a disabled military veteran. Veterans Benefits Administration provides financial and other forms of assistance to veterans and their dependents. These DSOs provide counseling on all veterans ’ benefits including disability compensation, health care, pension, survivors’ benefits, employment rights, education and more. Our DSOs also help veterans assemble evidence needed to support claims, build their cases, and prepare forms and briefs.
