You get paid for everyday you are on active duty, starting with your report to boot camp. Starting pay for an Airman First Class is $981. The above pay information is your normal monthly pay and is taxed and subject to Social Security and Medicare as well, just like a normal pay check. Serving in the Air Guard isn’t easy. If you are looking for a career in the military you will first want to determine which branch of the military you would like to serve in. Air Force boot camp is six weeks. Training is completed in three phases and ends with graduation. You will also have a swear in ceremony and that is when you will receive.


Basic training at each location may vary slightly, but all locations follow the same basic timeline and teach the same core principles. To serve in the Military you must complete boot camp. This rigorous physical and classroom training prepares recruits mentally and physically for life in the Military.


Advancement for linguists is based on rank, pay scale, and seniority. A linguist can be stationed anywhere in the world to perform his or her job duties. Between sophomore and junior year, cadets attend a four-week Field Training camp ( boot camp ). Physical conditioning, an aircraft orientation flight, and weapons practice are some of the activities you will be exposed to.


Most, but not all, reservists have to go through basic training. In some cases, you can skip basic training based on previous service or your occupation. Officer training is also an option for some recruits.

But the commandant is revising the schedule for the 12-week regiment to make sure that new Marines can succeed in.
