Dried chicken pox

Here are the pictures of dried up chicken pox. Chickenpox is a highly contagious infection caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV). If you have experience with this can you please tell me what I can do besides Betadine on the pox , vitamins in the water and lesson the chances of. I referred her to the NVIC website for info on the varicella vaccine. We came across something on there chicken pox page that seemed contradictory to the info we had found on shingles. When chicken pox is recovering, the fluid dries out to form scabs (appear black dried skin). These are very contagious.

I’ve seen one or two blisters, but mostly just tiny itchy spots. My oldest had a slight fever a couple of days ago. If your child has chickenpox, they are probably a very unhappy camper.


While chickenpox will generally clear up on its own without medication, there are different ways you can make your child more. If you have chickenpox, you’ll be contagious beginning one or two days before symptoms start to show. You’ll remain contagious until all of your chickenpox blisters have dried out and scabbed.
